Birches Green Junior School was established in 1929 and is one of the oldest schools in Erdington, celebrating its 85th birthday in 2014.

We are proud of our rich history but also celebrate the developments and opportunities that we can provide for our children in the 21st Century, as we look to build on the successes recognised in our 2013 Ofsted Report:

Staying Safe . . . in a school that is a happy and caring place where pupils enjoy coming to school safely.

Enjoying and achieving . . . where good relations between pupils and their teachers and teaching assistants help makes lessons harmonious events that pupils fully enjoy.

Making positive contributions . . . via the school council, which has brought new facilities for our pupils to enjoy.

Organising residential visits  . . . to promote self confidence and to develop the personal and social skills that pupils will require for success at the next stage of their education.
