In light of the decision to re-open school to Year 6 pupils from June 1st, school would like to gather the opinions of parents/carers on children returning to school. Parents/carers can access the poll here:


Indefinite School Closure from Monday 23rd March 2020

We have learned from the government that the school will be closed indefinitely from Monday 23rd March 2020.

We are told that some children will need to come to school. Some Junior children access school at the Infant site, please telephone 0121 373 3457 or 0121 464 4310, if you think your child is eligible for a place.

If attending school, please ensure that children are still punctual. All children are expected in school by 9am and the end of the school day will remain at 3:15pm. 

Again, we will update you when we are given more direction from the Department for Education.

We are serving cold lunches every week day between 12pm and 12:30pm from Colston Road for all children eligible for a Free School Meal.

LEARNING PACKS are renewed EVERY MONDAY morning and are available at the COLSTON ROAD entrance to Birches Green Infant School between 12pm and 12:30pm each weekday. We are closed on Public Holidays.

Birches Green Junior School was established in 1929 and is one of the oldest schools in Erdington, celebrating its 90th birthday in 2019.
